Soon after the Nintendo Direct showcase of February 9, 2022, Yoko Shimomura announced on Twitter she is supervising all of the rearrangements included in the Live A Live remaster, seeing she's the game's original composer. Yoko Shimomura is supervising the rearranged OST of Live A Live on Switch
The game's soundtrack and its boss battle theme Megalomania is one of the big reasons why Live A Live became a beloved classic over the decades. However her first OST at Square was the one for Live A Live on Super Famicom in 1994. Yoko Shimomura is mainly known nowadays as the main composer of the Kingdom Hearts series, and as the composer of several iconic Capcom and Street Fighter themes. Now that Live A Live HD-2D was announced by Square Enix on Nintendo Switch, many fans are wondering what will happen to the JRPG's iconic soundtrack in this remaster, and if we're getting music rearrangements by Yoko Shimomura.
